Easy to find, minutes from Historic Hope, NJ
I-80, Exit 12 or I-78, Exit 17
From I-80 Exit 12: Turn south towards Hope onto Rt. 521. Continue 1 mile and turn west (right) at stop intersection onto County Rt. 609. Go 3 1/2 miles and turn right onto Nightingale Road. Go 1 mile and turn right onto Honey Run Road. Triple Brook is 1/2 mile on left. Follow signs.
Go North on Route 31 (approx 15 miles from Clinton through Washington and Oxford) to Route 46 and turn west (left). Continue about 8 miles. At Marshall’s Farm Market (on left) turn north (right) onto County Rt. 616. Go 2 1/2 miles. Turn right onto Nightingale Road and continue 1/2 mile. Turn left onto Honey Run Rd. Because of the Asian longhorned beetle threat, firewood from places other than Triple Brook property may not be used or brought to the campground.
Firewood may not be gathered in camp or surrounding area.
Please, no pets. Sorry, no bicycle riding.
Some suggestions for the car ride here:
Familiarize the family with the rules and regulations.
Many are enforced by the State of NJ and Dept. of Environmental Protection.
The rest are in effect for the safety of all.
Decide who will help with what job upon arrival. The sooner your site and equipment are set up, the sooner you can enjoy the amenities!
Familiarize yourselves with the locations of laundry, phones, ice machine, firewood, etc. All locations are on the campground map.
Enjoy the ride! Your weekend/vacation has started!
Ideas for "family fun" together...
Take the kids fishing! Our pond is loaded!!
Play games together such as frisbee, baseball, etc!
Go for a walk together and just talk!
Find constellations in the night sky.
Read together (there are books available
at the Camp Store Library)
Have a tea party together (Ice Tea OK)
Make simple recipes together--like Smores!
Play card games (Old Maid, Go Fish, etc.)
Catch lightning bugs in a jar
Poke holes for air--let them go after a while!
Make a scrap book together of camping memories.
Roast marshmallows or hot dogs over the fire...Tell campfire stories!
Make a sand castle or sculpture in our giant sandbox!
Reverse roles: Try 15 minutes of you being the child...
the child becomes the adult! (Could be really interesting!)
Play board games (checkers, trouble, candyland)
Invite another camper...get to know one another.
Try some of our "family" fun together...you might like it!
